Benny Golson visits Equinox at Pavlov Den Haag

Last Sunday, 8th June, we were honored by the arrival of a very distinguished guest at our concert at Pavlov in Den Haag, none other than Benny Golson. Golson, who was in the Netherlands for several concerts and who had performed with the Rolling Stones the night before at Pink Pop, is well known to jazz fans as a saxophonist and composer of the highest caliber. Aside from being known for his recordings with Art Blakey’s Jazz Messengers and many more under his own name, Golson has composed many tunes that have become jazz classics including Stablemates, Whisper Not, Along Came Betty, Blues March and Killer Joe. What a treat! Thank you Mr. Golson!!
